Multimedia

Clearly, over the last few years, technology has evolved. And with that evolution, the methods of communication have progressed. Conveying your message has never been easier, but at the same time, it´s never been as complicated. No matter how you decide to communicate your message, Comprehensive has the fundamental skills and experience to convey that message in whatever language necessary.

For instance, when the US Air Force needed to administer a distance-learning course in several parts of the world, it decided that distributing the course in a multimedia format provided the most flexibility. After the original course was recorded, the video segments were broken down into short passages. These short passages were then transcribed and translated into Spanish and Japanese. The Japanese and Spanish translations were then narrated. The final result was a product that had the original English Instructor shown in the video while a Japanese or Spanish narration was playing at the appropriate point in the course, with the spoken text captioned in English and Japanese, or English and Spanish, at the bottom of the screen.

Public Service Announcements

As the diversity of the US population continues to increase, so do the numbers of individuals listening to foreign-language radio and TV programming. In order to reach this significant group of people, your ads and announcements must be in their language.

Comprehensive is your solution. Our expert translators and editors will translate your script with attention to the extra details involved in narration: timing, audience-appropriateness and suitability for narration. Our project managers will select the appropriate narrators based on your specifications: Male or Female voice? Young or Mature? Native accent or non-native accent? In the studio, the narrators will work with a producer, a language specialist, and a technical specialist to ensure that the final recording is flawless.

Our services have assisted in the production of training videos to help bartenders head off drunk driving, anti-terrorism TV and radio ads to be broadcast overseas, and programs designed to enhance community involvement of older citizens.

Video Voice-Over

You’ve taken the time to produce a wonderful documentary outlining the history of an ancient tribe in Central Africa. Interviews with tribal leaders, action footage of village rituals, and commentary from experts—it’s all there. Your colleagues in South America would really benefit from the information, but they don’t understand English.

Comprehensive’s expert staff has your solution: several professional linguists with wide-ranging voice-over and narration experience. We’ll have our expert translators and editors translate the script with attention to the extra details involved in narration: timing, audience-appropriateness and suitability for narration. Our project managers will select the appropriate narrators based on your specifications: Male or Female voice? Young or Mature? Native accent or non-native accent? In the studio, the narrators will work with a producer, a language specialist, and a technical specialist to ensure that the recording is flawless.

As an example of the experience Comprehensive has in video voice-overs, we supported the fine series produced for the Discovery Channel by providing voice-over talent for “Inside the Kill Box,” a documentary commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the Gulf War.
