News - Accreditation Granted!

CLCI has been granted accreditation!

ACCET, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training, recognized by the U. S. Department of Education as a national accrediting agency, granted Comprehensive Language Center, Inc. an initial accreditation period of FIVE years, through April, 2019. This is a rare distinction as out of 36 organizations that received initial accreditation in the past year, only one received a 5-year term.

Required in the self-examination report, ACCET assessed eight areas: (1) Organizational Mission; (2) Management; (3) Financial Practices; (4) Curricula; (5) Instructional Delivery; (6) Instructional Personnel; (7) Admissions and Student Services; and (8) Evaluation.

Each of these topics has many sub-criteria for a total of 32 specific areas of evaluation. CLCI’s strengths identified by ACCET include:

  • Operational Management
  • Professional Relationships
  • Performance Measurements
  • Facility
  • Supervision of Instruction
  • Participant Satisfaction
  • Sponsor Satisfaction

Very few providers of high-quality foreign language training provide accredited foreign language training programs, with the vast majority accrediting only their English-language programs. CLCI is one of the very few whose accreditation applies to all of our foreign language training programs.

Furthermore, in our report, the Commission noted the following:

“The Accrediting Commission commends the institution for its efforts toward meeting the Standards for Accreditation, including numerous strengths reflected in the on-site evaluation team report…”

More good news!

Any foreign language training completed after April 15, will be eligible for CEUs (Continuing Education Units). Accordingly, the total CEUs earned during training will be reflected on the certificate at the end of the course.
